Privacy Settings in Wolvic
Wolvic offers a number of privacy-related settings which are explained here.
Enhanced Tracking Protection
Wolvic uses a list of known user trackers provided by Disconnect. With the default Standard protection level, Wolvic blocks the following types of trackers and scripts.
- Social media trackers
- Cross-site tracking cookies (also isolates third-party cookies to the site using them)
- Fingerprinters
- Cryptominers
- Tracking content: These trackers are hidden in ads, videos, and other in-page content. In Standard mode, tracking content is only blocked in Private Windows. To block content tracking in all windows, select the option for Strict mode.
If you do not want to block any of the above trackers and other scripts, set Enhanced Tracking Protection to Off.
Deleting Cookies, Data, and Cached Content
In order to make pages faster and more customized for you, Wolvic VR Browser stores small bits of data known as cookies, as well as copies of pages you have visited, on your VR device. You can delete these at any time by using one or both of the following.
- Cookies & Site Data – Cookies and site data are used by web sites to store small bits of data such as the last page you visited on that site, or your username and the time of your last login. To delete all cookies and site data for all sites, select the “Clear Data” button next to “Cookies & Site Data”.
- Cached Web Content – Cached web content is copies of images, videos, and/or pages that are stored on your device. This enables sites to load faster, and for content to be available when the site is not. To delete all cached Web content, select the “Clear Data” button next to “Cached Web Content”.
